Nowadays, many people have taken interest in agriculture and have also fulfilled their needs by getting many benefits in agriculture.

There are also many types of farming systems. There is a stark difference between the village  and urban farming. By cultivating with advanced technology, people have become examples in many places. Today we have written about one such personality who has set an example for others by doing farming.

We are talking about this lady who is damn passionate about life that she can do several things at one go. Well, then this stuff is a sheer example of small steps taken by Mrs. Arnnapurna Nanda. It is the tale of Mrs. Arnnapurna Nanda- a successful woman entrepreneur who sells purely organic Mushroom. Her passion and entrepreneurial skills have earned her great revenue, respect, and reputation in her near surrounding. During the COVID-19 PANDEMIC she used her training and marketing skill and earned her income and proved the well said scheme of GOI.“Doubling Farming” through off farming cultivation. She now brought a scooty for her daughter through her extra income.

A training program was organized at her village Sakosinga, Mrs. Arnnapurna Nanda attended all training session of Mushroom cultivation and marketing organised by NABARD and Social Development Foundation (SDF). She decided to grow 30 bed of mushroom and requested Social Development Foundation(SDF) frontline worker(FLW) Mr. Arjun Nayak for end-to-end support. After her successful training, she decided to setup a mushroom demo unit. Social Development Foundation (SDF) supported her in room preparation, maintain cleanliness, paddy straw bed setup, procurement of spawn, Sprinkling of water and marketing management and other raw materials. In off farm agriculture, for the first time Mrs. Arnnapurna Nanda earned double than her regular income. She acknowledges and thanks for the support of NABARD and Social Development Foundation (SDF) in this achievement. Also thanks for training session, frequent home visits and facilitation of critical interventions of Mushroom. Mrs. Arnnapurna Nanda is planning to scale up Mushroom production for sustainable income.
