TOXIN FREE SOIL
Soil is connected to our life. Soil is our mother. During our lifetime, soil is our means of survival. Year after year, various schemes have been taken up for soil protection, but it seems that no one is interested in soil protection. The widespread use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides has become a threat to the soil with the emphasis on modern agriculture around the world. We think a little about our country, sixty-five years of independence, but till today we are cultivating hybrid seeds on our land, sowing poison, hoping to increase our production. Growing exotic seeds requires more and more chemical fertilizers and pesticides every year and is prone to disease attacks.
The amount of chemical fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and nutrients increases in the fruit. As a result, the soil is affected and the ground water table is also polluted. Instead of regional native grains and official certified seeds, hybrid seeds occupying space in our Indian soil is a threat to our soil. The increasing amount of chemical fertilizers and poisons is now a cause of concern for the whole world. Both the soil and the air are poisoned by the pesticides used in soil-grown cotton. Humans are more affected.
Cultivation of Eucalyptus (Nilgiris) destroys the soil and destroys the fertility and vitality of the soil. Repeated application of urea to the whole soil for rapid growth of plants causes the soil to become infertile. In order to save the paper industry, the industry is persuading the farmers to farm through conditions, even if this farming is not suitable for the environment. The use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in the soil poses a threat to the biodiversity of our soil. Many beneficial organisms, such as vermicompost, have been completely wiped out from the soil.
Our soil is turning barren when we adopt scientific knowledge. Fertility is decreasing, toxic. Humans are suffering from new diseases. To take an example, people are welcoming the need for cancer hospitals in the Punjab province of our country and the Bargarh district of our state. Even in remote areas, the amount of chemical fertilizers and pesticides is increasing. The farmers of Kashipur area of Rayagada district, whom I meet daily, have learned to inject chemicals from neighboring districts and use them on beans, nectarine, cabbage, beetroot and other fruits and vegetables.
Now, the government's traditional agriculture and organic farming of Vermicompost, Handikhat, Jivamrit, Panchgabya low-based drugs applied in soil has given a new message to the other farmers in the region. Farmers in many regions still use deadly pesticides such as Gamaxin, DDT and ferrate to control crop diseases. It causes damage to biodiversity. Its dust and smoke mixed with the air and settled in the dust particles of the atmosphere. The fruit spreads other diseases like tuberculosis. Environment and biodiversity can be protected if the artefacts focus on afforestation.
For some years now, many countries have been losing topsoil. Every year thirty-seven thousand square miles of agricultural land is lost in countries like India, the United States, and China. Every year the soil is affected by various factors and our ecological balance has become a crisis. The crop phase should change from year to year in the soil.
If the parts of the crop, including the stubble, are left on the ground without being burnt, it is added to the trees as manure. By adopting traditional farming and organic farming methods without inviting the application of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, the soil will not become infertile. Golden crops will be spread.
If we take a lightning fast approach to keeping our soil safe and free from other pollutants, we can protect our soil, water, air and life.
