Capacity building training of PKVY Farmer at CETAR ( Center of Excellence for Tribal Agriculture and Research )
The Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) scheme, launched by the Odisha government, has paved the way for organic farmers to survive. Under the scheme, various types of manure have been shown to farmers and taught how to make them.
All work has been progressed by Agragamee, Dasamantapur. PKVY has been set up in about 50 villages and all famers have been able to earn a living. And various varieties of saplings such as mango, litchis and cashews are given.
Now the help of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Govt. of Odisha, We have once again trained farmers on organic farming.
We have arranged a 3 days training program on Capacity Building of PKVY farmers at CETAR, Mallijharan, Rayagada i.e 11th, 12th & 13th October 2021. 50 farmers of Khajuriguda village districts of Koraput were joined in this training program. Two agriculture overseer from govt. of odisha also came and discussed with farmers.
I have taken only one last session because I was at Dasamantapur for turmeric survey and I went to
3 villages which is under Murkar GP.
I was covered some topics in training which I listed below:
1. What is organic Farming and Inorganic Farming ?
2. Advantages and Disadvantages of Organic and Inorganic Farming.
3. Green Revolution in 1966. How and why ?
4. Different organic fertilizer. Such as,
• Vermicompost
• Green manure
• Jiba Mruta
• FYM
• Slurry
• Compost etc
5. Organic Pesticides and insecticides.
6. How to prepare and how to use ?
7. Why Climate change occur and cause ?
8. Farmers suicide in India
